Did you you that Chicago was actually originally awarded the 1904 Summer Olympic Games? But since the Louisiana Purchase Exposition \ The St. Louis World’s Fair was also being held in 1904 and would include international sporting events - the Olympics were ultimately moved to St Louis and held in conjunction with the Fair!
