It's Here - The first annual CENTRAL WEST END COCKTAIL PARTY takes place this SATURDAY the 4th in MARYLAND PLAZA from 5 - 10PM. The event celebrates history in that the first cocktail party ever thrown was here in the CWE at 4501 Lindell. Held in May of 1917 - Mrs. Julius S. Walsh Jr. had the innovative idea to invited 50 guests to her home at noon for an hour long - Cocktail Party - before lunch was served at 1PM.
