Did you know there was bullfighting at the 1904 World's Fair? Wildly, there were two big controversial events...
First, one bullfight ended in a riot after the sheriff stopped the show and the bullring was burned to the ground while the promoter snuck out in disguise.
Next the understudy - Captain E Carleton Bass - shot and killed the principal matador - Don Manuci Cervera - during an argument over money. What a history!
